99 limited valve tick. where to go from here?

Hey guys, I have a 99 Limited t4r with the plain Jane 3.4L in it. I have just barley 201k on the clock, and it has a pretty loud valve tick on the driver side. My question is where do I go from here? It's really more annoying then anything, but I want to know some options I could have.
Do I just have a valve job done, if so how hard is it to do? And is it worth it because I've heard it could up my compression and throw a rod, so do I rebuild the whole motor? Or swap another 3.4 in it? I'm just lost and need some input.

Have you ruled out everything else? Failing injector, cracked exhaust manifold especially.

I have, I got in there with a stethoscope and listened to it and found it to be one of the two middle valves, it also changes with my rpm I forgot to mention that in my post...

Well I'm not sure what more to tell you other then if they do need a valve job (adjustment) I think from what I have gathered, you can just find the right size shim you need for your valves and replace it, (shim and bucket design).

There is a write up on Yotatech but I can't figure out how to copy and paste it here off my phone. I just googled 5vz-fe valve shim and it was the first link. Hope this helps.
