i removed it today, wasnt bad after i figured it out, some tight spots but can be done with fingers after you remove the bottom shroud.
Bottom Shroud has 5 10mm bolts and a push plug that you need a butter knife or pry tool to remove.

the bumper valance for front has a bunch of white clips holding it on. i used my hand to remove them all. might need a small tool that pushes down the fastener so it pops out. i was lucky with it. you can see all the clips there, i put them in place, some are hard to find with your hand.

there is truck with no valance on front. this will make painting it easier and a better job can be done this way.

i did a micro crackle texture, i used Krylon colormaster matte black first, then did lots of Rustoleum peel coat splatter coats till even, then Rustoleum fexidip splatter coats til even, chemical reaction creates a texture like leather. use techniques like this alot when i do the car builds, sometimes it has to be wiped off and redone, got lucky and pattern came out nice and even, now it has to sit all night then be washed and installed in the morning.

2020 ORP ... went to a dealership to price dent and rear black valances. When I asked about installation they said no one in the service department would want anything to do with that, but that I should contact the dealer’s in-house body shop.
The guy there is in the business of repairing collision damage. He instinctively put together a quote for painting my silver ones black. It escalated to over $1000 because he said he was going to have to remove the bumpers. And unplug the radar sensor. Disconnecting and reconnecting the radar sensor is a $500 affair due to legal calibration issues.
Now I’m starting to understand why the 2020 ORPs with “Predator XP” packages have changed for 2020. In the past, the P XP packages included a heritage grille. Now they black out the front emblem and call it a day.
Parts department also said they could not order the 2020 heritage grille parts (with radar block accommodations) even with a correct part number. “Try back in a couple of months”.
May look into wrapping the valances or delaying that gratification for a later time.

I ran into something similar when I wanted a GT500 rear valance put on my old Mustang. Dealership's body shop wanted $1,200 to install a $180 part. Ended up biting the bullet and installed it myself in about 30 minutes.
I think they just don't want to waste their time with small jobs like this and give out ridiculous quotes to scare people off.

funny thing is guy that sold me the car at dealer said he only thinks they sell black out logo kits for 499$ and leave valances silver to sell expensive valance to you later on.
the black logos are way over priced.
there is my 12$ textured paint job. after texturing i used Hammerite Black, it looks like gunmetal metallic grey. i still got tto wash it after i left finger prints on it installing in cold weather but im done for the night.

My $0.02, dont be a puss. Pull the valances off and learn a new skill. Prep, paint and do it yourself. It IS NOT rocket science. F if I'm spending $389 on something I can do myself for $20.

I just did this upgrade last week..
It took me a while to figure the best strategy for me.
I started focused on wrapping... however, wrapping is expensive where I am .. a little better than paint for durability but not much in my opinion.
I ended up buying a brand new black TRD bumper valance (for off road durability) and then wrapping the bumper section behind / above the bumper valance and below the lower grill. It turned out great and I think it'll be pretty durable on the trails.
Stay safe out there.

I am about to order the same paint that TwistedJake used - Satin. You used the same brand, but high gloss. Is there a reason you went with high gloss vs the satin?

Did you use the 1080 series? I see it on amazon 1' wide by 5' long. Is 1" wide enough? I dont think it is.
How is it holding up and how close does it match the black in the grill under the toyota emblem?

FYI there's some toyota dealerships offering additional 25% off parts, I just ordered the front and rear black valence for ~$250 shipped. Little more financially palatable for those afraid to paint/wrap/plastidip their own valence.
