Those are the tires im hoping to get next as well. Could you give a review of those, and if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for them? And thats true, thats why I just finished welding my set of 4xinnovations sliders together, just need to piant and weld to the frame.

For sure, I'm supposed to be getting them today but who knows. I think the total was around the $650 mark. I had coupons for days and discounts and stuff though. I bought them at costco. Go smash those rock sliders around :D

33's!

So I got my 33's on today (33 x 10.5 x R15 BFG A/T KO2's), only drove with them on for like 20 minutes and saw some huge changes (good and bad).

Clearance of leafs n stuff :

It clears everything as far as I know, and there's no rubbing so that's good. Only bad thing I know for sure is my gearing is slightly too low for these bigger tires, but otherwise, I really like them! Idk when I can go wheeling next, but I want to go sooo bad. stoked

Any updates?

Unfortunately not really :/ I'm having this weird issue where my drivers side tire is further back than the passenger side for some reason (it has to do with the leafs I'm just too lazy to do something about it I guess haha). I really want to get something done but I just can't right now...

actually I did an oil change about a week ago so there's that

Woah! What!? An update!? Wow!

So it's been a while since I posted here, and for good reason - I haven't done anything to my truck :D Until now (well, soon).

I have had a pretty bad suspension problem, where my driver side is further back than my passenger side, causing some terrible rubbing and stabbing on my new 33's, which isn't good. After making a thread on this site and visiting friends and offroad places (Rebel Offroad, for example), I think I have the solution.

New leaf spring hangers! I just got these in the mail not to long ago, and now I am waiting on my replacement springs to come in from ARB, since it turns out my driver side leaf is so warped it's soon to be useless. Once my leafs come in, I will be getting this bad boy installed and then the leafs, then I can hopefully start doing the fun stuff :jump: Now I just have to wait another month and I should be good to go

Little update.

I finally got my front end suspension problems fixed for the most part. I got the hangers installed (they're a little too far forward but it's ok), new leafs installed, and new Rancho shocks (I believe they are 10"). Next up is a new steering dampener, since mine is close to useless, and extended brake lines! Then I should be wheeling within the next week or two. I also got rid of the front wheel spacers, which has helped stop my rubbing issue. Here are some pics of the new stuff!

I might also need larger bump stops, or some kind of limiting strap cause my tires currently rub at about 80% of flex, which kinda sucks.

Thanks txlonghorn85!

So I've been taking my truck out to this dirt thing on the side of the road to test out my flex before I actually go wheeling, since I pretty much just got all the suspension redone in the front. Anyway, I wasn't even able to get complete flex (brake lines too short), I still had a good 3 inches from the frame and bump stops, which is awesome. I have new 10" Rancho RS5000 shocks, which are much less limiting from my previous shocks (i have no idea how long they were). Here are some terrible pics!

I was getting some seriously terrible rubbing at minimal flex before when I had 2 inch spacers in the front. I decided to get rid of the rice, and now I am just barely not rubbing. WOOO

It's pretty funny having a ton of flex in the front and hardly anything in the back :jump:

That's it for now until I get my brake lines and steering dampener in the mail.

Glad you got the front end figure out for the most part!! So whats the deal with your rear? you mentioned you weren't getting much flex back there.

Truck is looking great btw.... lemme get that soft top

Thanks! The soft top is amazing (besides the fact anyone can break in effortlessly lol). With my rear, im 97% sure it's my shocks. They're too short, and are limiting the travel a lot. Ill probably end up getting new ones when the summer comes around.

Well, I got some important work done today. First, I smashed my fenders some more, because why not.

I also finally swapped out my steering stabilizer! Here's a pic of the old one (right) vs new one (left). The new one was very tough to extend by hand, ad the old one just flopped around without any effort. My steering is MUCH stiffer (in a good way), and my death wobble issue has been cured! Woo

This was the BIGGEST PITA of all time. The driver side bolt of the old stabilizer froze onto the tie rod, so I had to sawzall it off and then drill the bolts remains until it fell out. Took a good 4 hours out of my day, so I wasn't able to put my brake lines in :bash:

These are the rear brake lines, which I will be attaching to the front ones to extend them sometime soon.

Well, I think I've officially lost all f**ks to give.

I got my extended lines on finally, and the new lines don't fit where the old ones did so I couldn't put that little clip thing in so I just zip tied it yep.

My brakes suck, they're insanely squishy, stopping power is nowhere to be found, but hey I have long lines now I guess.

Anyway, I got these on and decided to go wheeling at 7:00 PM till about 12. Here are some pics.

Not even full flex, and the lines are chillin..

Only problem now is my truck is dying and I don't know why. I have a CEL for code 12, which is the knock sensor, this little guy :

The engine is running so weird I don't know what to do. It seems like the revs are set back 1500 (hard to explain, but I am in 1st gear when I should be in 2nd type of thing). Low power, weird revs, idle seems fine, Idk. I cleaned the knock sensor, patched an exhaust leak, correctly set my timing, reset the ECU (x5), and still nothing. Wtf is going onnnnn?????? :redbrick::redbrick::redbrick::redbrick:

Check all your vacuum lines for sure. Check for tears or cracks and just replace them all to start. Great looking rig btw. I can't wait to do some of the tricks you have

Thanks, I appreciate it! I am going to be working on my truck for half the day tomorrow, fixing every random thing I come across. I'm gonna start with the vacuum lines. Thanks for your input!

Edit : now that I think about it, I do remember hearing some weird, almost like a whistling noise coming from somewhere at ~3k+ revs. Might be a vacuum leak?

Yeah could be. Whenever the 22R/RE's had idle and dying issues I always went to the vacuum tubes first. Then checked the TPS (throttle position sensor), then everything else. Go with the last repair made since it was running fine. Good luck. Let us know!

I spent a good amount of time trying to find a vacuum leak, and as far as I know there isn't one. Maybe I just suck at looking, who knows. Anyway, I perfected the timing a little, then unplugged the TPS, then plugged it back in, and now it seems like the weird revs issue has magically disappeared... huh. I still have a CEL for code 12 though, but the engine is running alright again. super weird

My idle is also having no issues at all. Sits right at around 750-800 revs.
