Some of you may remember me, some may not. This is my fourth 3rd gen, and here's a couple of my others that are long gone. Well, I'm back at it again. This time I'll be molesting a 2001.

I'm a little late to the party but I'll do my best to add the build in chronological order of events.

Feel free to post any and all relevant comments on my build thread.

Here's the new one, named partially after the ship in the matrix, and partially after the ancient Babylon king who thought he was a cow for a while. I call it Nezzar for short.

It was February 2016... I picked up the 4Runner with 168,000 miles. It was very clean and rust free. I knew it was a keeper.

First up, I had to get rid of that chrome - it was making me sick to my stomach. I removed the fender flares, and for the rest I went with a simple plasti dip job.

Front bumper, rear bumper, and grille.

Next on the list was a lift and removal of the front and rear sway bars.

I went with tundra coils, bilstein 5100's, toytec boss shocks, and I was able to source some landcruiser 9 wrap coils that I picked up cheap on craigslist.

Also, I extended the rear brake lines and installed a 1" diff drop.

I don't have pictures but next I upgraded from OEM to Lotus Development CV axles.

The rear LCA's got replaced with armored Toytec LCA's and I added Lotus Develpment RCAM skids.

Removed the lock... thing, on both sides. No more pinched armpits as I hang out of my rig in style.

Made some lap belts. I'm going to re-design them soon so they're just temporary.

Removed the front bumper and sold it since I had lots of wheeling trips planned, and didn't want to ruin it, and partly to motivate me to get going on fabbing up a functional bumper.

Picked up a Thule roof basket and mounted my hi-lift, shovel and axe on the sides.

Added a Magnuson supercharger!! The 305's felt like they were just killing my rig when I drove up those hills on I-70. I did the work on a snowy day. My fingers were freezing. I do not recommend doing that.

Cleaning up the nasty Stubbs sliders that I inherited.

Big thanks to my buddy Glen for getting new plates welded up!

I decided to gusset them for extra strength.

Finally found some time to start building my front bumper. I used the same design as [MENTION=21950]sn0wrunner[/MENTION] that is based off of the Amorology bumper. Thanks for the guidance Jeff!

That is a really good looking bumper. I like the no frills plate from bumpers. No big hoops or bars sticking out.

Oh baby, it's coming along nicely! Went out yesterday for some snow bashing with the RM4x4.org crew. I'm making good progress on the front bumper. It's not done yet, but it's getting close. Close enough to slap on my SB X20 10,000lb winch. Luckily the bumper is far enough along for the winch to be fully functional. I used it about 6 times yesterday, as we were the first group up cascade creek in 2017 and would have been impossible without the winch. There was 30+ inches of snow that had sugary or wet concrete consistency.

Added USB chargers and an exterior temperature gauge. I need to work on my dremmel skills, I knicked the edges without realizing, oh well. I am trying to figure out where/how to position the sensor to make an accurate reading. Its right under the passenger headlight right now but when I'm stopped the heat from the engine bay wafts out by the sensor and gives me a false reading. It works fine and is accurate as can be when I'm moving at least 5mph. Any ideas??
