I ended up buying a VW golf for 4,500, then sold it for 6,000, bought an S4 for 6,000, then traded straight across for the 4runner. So technically 4,500, or 6k. However you want to look at it haha.

Picked up a Thule roof basket and mounted my hi-lift, shovel and axe on the sides.

I wanted to but they were closed the day we were there! I'm a BBQ freak so I was pretty upset while I ate my crackers driving back up to Aspen. It was late October so it was kind of off-season I guess.

I relocated my turn signals into the corner light housing. I moved the running light up, and made the original hole bigger to fit the turn signals, then sealed them up. Hopefully I don't have to get into them anytime soon. Considering they are LED, I should have them in there for the life of the rig.

Installed a transmission cooler and bypassed the original setup. I'm not sure if the cooler is big enough yet... I have no way of monitoring my TFT, but so far the trans temp light hasn't come on.
I used a B&M 70268 Supecooler.
I drained all the fluid and replaced with OEM Toyota ATF.
Good thing I drained the fluid... It looked like chocolate milk!!

Going on a trip to Tahoe next month and then on the way home I'll be taking a few days in Moab. I have some things to take care of before I leave. Here's some progress I've made.
- Remove back seat to trim sleeping platform in order to fit the fridge
- Tie down fridge
- Re-boot CV axles
- Replace Cam Sensor (Checked the timing belt and it shows no signs of wear)

I was finally able to finish up the side supports for my bumper. This being my first time fabricating tubing with compound angles, I made mistakes and they ended up being too short. We were able to fill in the gaps with weld. Should hold up great even though they aren't the prettiest welds of all time.

I ended up doing a fibergrate roof rack that I picked up from [MENTION=83356]rideexileex[/MENTION]... This stuff is strong! I was able to stand on top of it on my 4Runner.
I cut mine to 44"x48", added some 5/8" tall vinyl strips to get it off of the roof, and fastened it down to the factory roof rails. While I was at it, I replaced my missing end caps.
Clears the roof line in the middle. Just about as low pro as you can get for the money.
I secured some quick fist clamps with zip ties to the rack. Holds everything just fine.

Dude, one of my favorite build threads on here I've found. So clean, badass, and functional. I'm so glad there's other people that hate chrome as much as me-- dealing with my emblems and bumpers was about first on my list. Do you happen to remember any details about your tail lights-- what housing and lights you went with? I'm hyped to see what else you do to that beauty; it's so sick already!

Thanks man, I wish I could slow down and take more pictures of my installs and mods, but I just like getting to the end result that I usually just blow through mods and forget to update my thread.
The tail lights are just off of ebay. Something like this: 2001 2002 Toyota 4Runner LED Red Clear Brake Tail Lights Rear Lamps Pair | eBay
Only thing I changed was the addition of LED reverse lights.
