Hey, everyone - Had a bit of a brain melter today. My brother and I went to replace the rear brakes and got befuddled. Got all new everything (shoes, hardware kit, parking brake kit, adjuster kits, wheel cylinders, drums). Everything was going fine until I was assembling the new adjuster kit. The starwheel mechanism and adjustment lever didn't match what I assume is the original parts. I can understand discrepancies in aftermarket fitment vs. OEM, but after hours of searching, these are the only adjustment replacement kits offered (couldn't go to the stealership on a Sunday). It's very difficult to search for these specific parts due to terminology. Everything looks like what I purchased is correct but it simply can't be because of the placement of the starwheel adjuster and lever complying with the access hole in the backing plate. The only place I've seen the same thing I have is this writeup How to change brake shoes / drum brakes | Mike's Tech Blog
Is this odd or specific to the 01-02 years? I searched different 3rd gen parts and it all came up with the wrong replacement parts. I stole a pic from BigFishAllDay's rear axle seal DIY for comparison. Any advice or experience with this?
