01 limited Making humming noise

I just had my transfer case replaced in my 01 t4 recently. A few days ago I start my car up in the morning and as soon as I put it in gear I hear a humming noise coming from the engine...at least i think its coming from the engine. Im guessing this is related to the recent install but im not sure what it could be. The t-case works great and just wondering if anyone may know what is causing this noise?

btw, the noise isn't very apparent when im driving at higher speeds but when I come to a stop light you can really start to hear it. Any ideas?

Hmmm could be a carrier bearing.

I'll take a look at that. Would that be affected in any way if the transfer case was replaced?

Sounds like the tech might have forgotten to tighten something up... you can do a visual inspection underneath and verify things like exhaust, drive shafts, mounts are secure

I was def. thinking the same thing. I'm gonna take it back in when I get a chance and have him take a look at it.
