My 98 Sr5 threw a cel. Got it diagnosed as bank 2 oxygen sensor. I used my Fluke 87 multimeter to check the voltage with the oxygen sensor unplugged behind the cat. I back probed the blue wire & used my + lead on my meter, which is supposed to be the signal wire, & used the - lead onto the ground of the sensor.
It came to .1 volts with motor running & at operating temp. (Drove car 30 miles before test) so motor was warm. Shut off motor & started back up. No change in volts.
Now I wanted to see if I was testing the sensor correctly so I tested bank 1 sensor before the cat. & got nothing at all. Running, & starting. Any ideas?
These were not bench tested btw.
