02 tundra axels on a 02 4runner?

Hi I have a 02 totaled 4x4 tundra it has lockers front and back with 456 gears I also have a 02 4x4 4runner can i just swap out the whole rear axel? they look the same. I dont think the front axels are the same could i just take out the gears and locker and put it in the 4runner?

No, tundra is wider track I believe and even if it was same width they have different types of suspension. And the gears and lockers won't swap over either sorry.
 
damn that freakin sucks :( i dunno weather i should buy it back now from the insurance for 2500$ i was thinking of doing the v8 swap and putting in the 4.7 but im leaning more towards a supercharger instead

if you had the space to part it out you could prob. make more than 2500. if your runner was a 4th gen more stuff would transfer. Hey Kid, is the tundra a 8.4 rear? if not you could mod your axle to accept the elocker. Good luck either way. An engine swap is a lot of work but I love driving my wife 4.7 2003 runner. But I also love driving my supercharged 98. Either road you will love but the supercharger is a lot less work.
 
yeah i think we might just part it out and try and make some money. Which one would you say is faster the v8 or the supercharged? and yeah the supercharger would be allot easier ! i dont think i could afford all the down time to do the v8 conversion.

Owning both I would say that they are both plenty fast but they are very different. The power of the V8 is smooth and comes on very clean and even but you will never break a tire loose on pavement because of the Auto trans and AWD. The SC'd V6 is more fun since it is nimble and you can absolutely roast the rear tires. In a race it is very close as my wife and I race on a regular basis and most of the time light to light I win with the SC'd 3rd gen. But it is not a guaranteed win. LOL. I love my wife. By the way you can supercharge your 3.4 with URD upgrades for 2500. Just saying.
