03-06 to 07-09 front end conversion questions

im sure this has been done many times and there has got to be many threads but i cant find any for the life of me...

Ive got an 03 but want to make it look newer with the projectors and leds. what is required to convert it? And are there any threads writing on this conversion? Thanks!

^^^i even searched headlight conversion.. still no write ups or anything that came up... i dont wanna change just the lights but the bumpers as well

as far as i know, if you change the front bumper you may also have to change the fender flares (which will have a more rounded top, it then wont match the rear ) & then trim or replace the side door molding to make it all fit. thats lots of $!

heres pics of 03 front fender flares compared to 07. see the difference on shape at top, (flat vs rounded) & also where they meet the bumpers, theres a bit of a curve down on the 07 bumper at the tip. im not sure the rear bumper can be switched over but if it can , the flares may need changing too. door side panels are different also, even with non OEM body & light parts, then paint, at a guess id say around 2k+ to do if you have it. the cost alone would be enough to turn most off, that may be why you cant find any write ups.

you will need to change the flares for the bumpers to match. I am upgrading all the cladding on my 03 to that of the 06-09...all flares and door cladding...i am scouring ebay for the parts and only need a couple more pieces...it is an exspensive upgrade since none of the 06-09 parts are made aftermarket except for the bumper covers...but good news it so far it all snaps in with no mods to the fenders...you just need all the plastic pieces from front to rear....including the rocker panel covers

like in the other thread, i have said, retrofit some hid projectors, cost about the same to change the look on the truck and have better lighting performance, this is what i did on my 07, retrofit some true hid projectors and use quality parts. heres the effects i get when i hit bumps or go up and down, this is what cars should see when they are in front of me, im not glaring them ,but have better light distribution.
