04 rear brake lights

I see so many vehicles with one rear brake light burned out, I decided to change all the bulbs for safety concerns. I thought I had check all the rear lights before I changed them and all seem to be working.

I replace all 3 bulbs on both sides in the rear (yellow turn signal, red brake light, white reverse light).

Then proceeded to test them, all is well on the left side. Then the right side, switch on the turn signal and the rear white reverse light is blinking, the red break light is working and put in reverse and no white light. I was thinking that the yellow turn signal might light up instead but it didn’t.

Ok, so I took out all the new bulbs on the right side and replaced with the old ones, same results.

I always check my lights about once a year to ensure they are working properly, I can’t see how I would miss the right turn signal blinking white instead of yellow, since I didn’t have anyone to confirm the reverse lights I could have missed this one.

The blinking lights are acting the same way in the back. Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone reading the post.

I took another look this morning. OK maybe I disconnect the wiring and plugged it back in wrong after seeing that all the wiring goes into the brake light and there isn’t any wiring going to the other 2 bulbs. But there is only one way to re-connect.

Ah… I noticed 3 connection points on the socket then realized maybe the connect points weren’t lining up properly and that was it. The left side stopped after it clicked into place, the right side kept turning and didn’t click into place as noticeably.
