Casper said:well i guess i have something to look forward too cause neither bmw i have had has gotten 20mpg on the highway...
the m3 was getting like 17 and the m5 gets like 14 (cause of the gearing that puts it into the secondary injectors and boost at 80mph)
20 would be great.

My m3's curb was like 3700 and the m5's is 4030.
Light...ha ha.

Interesting. Most people find the computer to be off by about 10%. Wondering if Toyota made a change to it in 2005?05V8SPRT said:I run mostly at 65 MPH with cruise. I also checked the computer by dividing the miles by gallons used. It was almost dead on.

BTW, using the cruise control and driving at 65mph will certainly boost mileage.

Its funny how someone says they are getting decent gas mileage and people bash it to death. but would you be happy is someone posted and said they are getting 8 miles to a gallon? I dont get it.

I am curious though, when I drive the long straight stretch to Mammoth, what is the best speed to set the cruise control at?
I prefer to drive around 75 mph. Should I look to see if the revs are lowest on the tac or is there some other more useful formula to use.
OMG, I am now a senior member. I am truly honored.
