06+ 4Runner Headlights on 2003 4runner?

I'mmmmmmmmmmm dumb. Welp, this is embarrassing. Thanks for pointing it out though! Guess I'll have to look again.

sorry, better safe than sorry though. The cap with the H on it is the high side AC line tap for servicing. I believe the connection you are looking for is further to the left by the fog lamp

Haha not a problem dude. I'm glad you pointed it out, otherwise I would messed up my car big time. Guess I have to keep looking and try and figure out this wiring issue with the headlights.

once the headlights are out it will be easier to see which wire. youll be able to match up each wire from the headlight to headlight sockets and marker lights to marker light socket. Then bring the blinker wire up to the blinker socket.

Yea that's what I'm thinking. I can plan and plan and plan but nothing every goes exactly according to plan. I think I'll just take one of the headlights out and then see what is what in the cluster of wiring currently found in the car. I'm sure that bumper signal wire goes somewhere where it isn't too difficult to splice.

I'll be doing this mod this weekend so I'll keep you updated! Thanks for all of your help!

If you don't want dual turn signals you could make the second bulb a DRL or another orange bulb, or whatever you want really.

When I put mine in I stripped a small amount of wire from the harness and soldered the new socket to it.

Yea I wouldn't necessarily need dual turn signals. A DRL would be nice though. The harness has a socket for the parking lights, and a round socket for the DRLs. What wire did you splice the DRLs to on your stock wiring?

Sorry, not sure if this was mentioned yet, but where did you find the trim pieces for under the headlights? Did you find them painted?

I found them at Rockauto.com. They were relatively cheap and shipped quick. They are listed as gray on the site, and I was going to paint them, but they came a matte black color instead. Not a problem, just something to keep in mind. Still going to paint them however, as the matte black doesn't perfectly match the more glossy black on my 4runner.

under dash wire harness question

...ok I'm just going to admit this right up front...I did a stupid thing and just unplugged everything. There is a Loooong story about my 02/03 4runner and the failed hydra boost/master cylinder that ill share upon request ... but for now I need HELP plugging it all back in.

Do you have photos of what exactly you unplugged? Not a lot we can help with unless we can see what we are looking at.

i'll try snapping some pix now...basically just everything under the driver-side dash as I was prep. to remove master cylinder.

Are you sure you're in the right thread? Not exactly sure what the master cylinder has anything to do with the 06+ headlights. Although I could be wrong.

No I'm fairly certain the two have nothing to do with each other...however when I did a thread search for "under dash wire harness diagram" yours was one of the threads that came up. It was the closest thing I could find, I apologize.

Ok well send me some pics anyway. I'll try to help out if I can.
