08 Runner Tire ?

So, I searched, without success. And read the great FAQ, but didn't see info for 16'' rim.

Wife has a 08 4Runner SR5 with 265/70/R16's on it. Came that way from the dealer when she bought it. Getting ready for winter, wondering how much larger I can go with 16'' rims. Ideally I'd like to fit a set of 285's.

You can use the FAQ, for a 16 inch rim you'd add 5 to the center number and you'll be at the same size. A 265/65/17 is the same physical size as a 265/70/17.

Ah, I see that little bit at the bottom now. Thanks. So I can't go taller than 265 stock. Bummer.

And it took a few back and forths for that, but I'd had a few drinks so it made it easier. I don't think I even bumped the GMC, the hatchback I think I rocked good once
