Just got my 4Runner this week. Ordered on boxing day - SR5 mag grey. Dealer gave me about 2,000 off sticker, threw in floor mats, and bluetooth. Also paid for some damage on the FJ that I gave back on lease. About two weeks ago I got an email from the dealer saying that Toyota was providing me with another loyalty incentive by giving me a $1,000 cash incentive to put towards the vehicle.
When my vehicle came in this week I signed the papers and had to pay sales tax on the $1,000 cash incentive (in Saskatchewan we have two taxes Provincial and Federal sales tax). Has anyone else in Canada experienced this? Seemed weird to pay tax on a cash incentive.
