Went through a credit union to get 6k(ish) knocked off of MSRP and the truck was located about an hour north of me, so they brought it on a flat bed, to my door. Just had to walk out and sign the papers.
I hadn't even paid for it either. Didn't send the cashiers check back for a few days after they dropped it off. The guy who brought it down, also brought me all of the paperwork, never had to leave my house to get the truck I wanted. Signed everything and mailed it. I gave the credit union all of the things I wanted on the truck, like color, V8, 4WD, etc, and they did all the work to find it for me.
MSRP was around 38,XXX, paid 32,700

should have snap pix of the rear of your truck and her's. that way you wouldnt have to argue later.
about how she looks.
but on the side note always take a pic if you can of the accident. just in case they try to flip the case on you.

So uh, how did her bumper look after you hit it? 
In the sue happy age we are today, it's refreshing to see you didn't do anything further. If it was just a small bump that you barely felt, then probably it was just cosmetic damage done. Definitely take pics of the incident though in case things take a turn. Most cell phones today come with a camera function.
I too keep my tow hitch installed even though I don't tow much of anything. I figure if they see that there, there going to keep a little further back to avoid it.

Almost the same thing happened to my friend up here in his brand new '08 Tacoma.
He was stopped at a light and got rear ended by a young lady in one of those small Dodge sedans. The entire front part of her car was totaled, fluids spilling everywhere.
The only 'damage' to the Tacoma was a tiny scratch on the rubber hitch plug. The cop that arrived at the scene smiled and said, "yup, it's a Toyota".

Well, her bumper had a few little scuffs on it. Nothing too major. She didn't even seem to care. I imagine her car was given to her by her parents. She made a comment to me about how her parents still pay for her insurance (she was 23) and she isn't living at home anymore. Regardless, there was minimal damage to her car, and little to none tom my 4Runner (the rubber hitch cover is a little torn up).

I think it is the fact that it is a truck vs a car. We were rear ended in my uncles old school pathfinder by a small hyndai or kia a few years back. The car was totalled, the airbags went off, and the woman went to the hospital (where she had actually just been released from and told not to drive). The pathfinder just had a few scratches on the bumper, and it was pushed about an inch closer to the truck than it had been and license plate that was mounted to the bumper was bent. The cops found out she had passed out hit the gas, they said she was going probably between 40 and 60 when she hit us. Our backs and necks hurt, but no real damage to us and only scratches to the truck.
I am glad to hear the 4Runner holds up just as well. I too keep my tow hitch in all the time even when not towing to help keep people off my bumper when parking, but maybe it would help in a collision too?

Although the first time I brought her in for an oil change (about a week after I got it, so about 3 weeks ago), I asked the assistant service manager about the popping noise on my radio when listening to FM stations, and he seemed to be oblivious to the problem. I then presented him with the TSB that I pulled off this site and he then went on and on about how I would have to set up an appointment and that the service tech would have "to be able to put his hands on the radio and see that there is a problem" in order for them to replace it. He basically was deterring me from going through with it. Eventually I'll get it done. It's not exactly a top priority on the list for me right now. Plus, I usually listen to my Ipod anyway.
