1" rear cornfed spacer with stock rear shocks?

I was hoping to put 5100 at 1.75" in the front and a set of 1" rear cornfed spacers in the rear. I was wondering if I needed new 5100 shocks for the rear or can I stick with my stock ones. I know the 5100 have about 2"s more of travel which helps with the spacer but was seeing if I could do it with the stock. Any pics are appreciated.

I can't say it is recommended. You'll very easily top out your shock causing it fail prematurely. You're better off just wait and doing it right the first time and not spend the time or money to replace shocks you could have been enjoying from the get go.

Don't get a cheap lift.

I went the spacer route, and just wound up redoing the entire suspension a year later because it sucks.

When I first got my 4Runner I did the exact same thing you have in mind. 5100 1.75" stock coils front, stock shocks in the rear w/ cornfed 1" spacers. Rode okay on smooth pavement but any time you're going over speed bumps the rear shocks top out badly and you will feel it for sure. Sounded like the rear end was broken. Ditched the spacers and preloaded stock coils and added lift coils and 5100 shocks to the rear. Night and day difference I yells ya.

When I added 5100s to the rear I noticed feeling of better control when off-road. Worth the extra cost.
