I'm cheap so I use WD40 a week before & then the night before. All 8 bolts came out easily with an impact & I live in the rust belt. My LBJ's had 153,000 when I changed them.
I think spraying it often before the job works the best regardless of product used. The hard part is remembering to spray things daily. Otherwise I've had some awful looking bolts come out smooth as butter.
With that said, I hate working on my cars now so I'm just handing mine over to my mechanic to redo my front end. Too lazy... :frusty:
