Looks like major issues are isolated with this new engine which is good. The troublesome thing is that I see most everyone has replaced the brakes by 100k (I replaced my at 60k)... Seized calipers and replaced rotors seem to be common for all 4th gen's under 100k miles. Not really sure what this means about Toyota durability though. I had a '91 Jeep with 145k miles and changed the pads twice, but no caliper or rotor issues. Our old '00 GMC Yukon went 160k with only changing the pads twice with no rotor or caliper issues either.
Original battery, rear brakes shocks and not even one light bulb has burnt out yet. .
