I did use the search function and came across posts in April and things then were still questionable so I thought I would ask. Anyone have confirmed updates/changes for the 11's ?
TIA

brake override to be added for 11
How does Toyota’s brake override system work?
It’s an electronic system that engages when both accelerator and brake pedals are depressed, then the system cuts engine power: “When the vehicle is moving and both the gas and brake pedal are pushed at the same time, this software forces the vehicle to respond to the brake only,” Toyota explains in its recall FAQ. Lee said it will work under all conditions — not just in extreme situations — so those who drive with a left foot on the brake pedal will have to learn not to do that.

Here is a good explanation of how the brake over-ride system works;
Brake override to be standard along with likely a price hike of a couple hundred.
No other changes have been released. We do not know what if anything else will be added or changed.
I went to Offroad Evolution today in Fullerton, CA and they said they didnt have anything in motion for the 2010, but they were working on the 2011. They said that had a different body style. I think they just didnt know what they were talking about.
Such systems are typically programmed to only cut in during extreme situations.:crybaby::wtf: It better overide/defeat in low-range... I two foot drive off-road all the time. Come to think of it I do it in 4hi too.
I hope they programmed the nanny intervention to only interfere in more extreme situations.
