I melted my elocker harness and need a new one, but his websites are all jacked up and he’s not responding to emails. Anyone know if he’s still in business?

Any other recommendations for an elocker retrofit harness?

another advantage of not using the factory system is that you basically make the "gray wire mod" allowing you to use the locker even in 4wd high or even just 2 wheel drive. i use prob more often in 4wd high. kick in when when needed and no reason to kick into 4 wd low. good for my roads/conditions as i can just slow way down.. and still be moving and kick on the locker without stopping to switch to 4wd low ( i have a j shift) and more often than not just kicking on the locker gets me home....not needing low range.
disadvantage...well a wire yourself wont light up on dash board like a factory unit will. so use a lighted rocker switch and be aware of what you are doing/driving.
if you go with a factory system and replace computers etc....id still do the gray wire mod. My current rig is factory elocker and with the gray wire mod my dash lights up regardless of if 4wd low, 4wd high or 2wd...when engaged of course

Well, I'd like to just buy a new harness rather than making another one, because I gotta buy all the tools and materials to make a new one.

I was swamped on Friday and didn't have time to type out a full response:

For clarification, I've been using a 12voltguy harness for a few years - I just destroyed it when I ripped my exhaust off and melted a bunch of stuff under the 4Runner.

My issue with making my own is that the smallest available length of cable he used (Honeywell Genesis 1121 18/8c) comes on a 250' spool and it costs twice what his entire kit did. Then I gotta buy de-pinning tools, pin crimpers, more snake skin, vent tubing, etc. It'd end up being $400+ and many hours of harness fab that I just don't have.

Unfortunately, it looks like Yotamaster's retrofit kit is just about that much...

Solder iron, solder, heat shrink tubing, wire, time would be minimal couple hours at the most.
 
That's not a bad idea to replace the damaged wires and rebuild it. Could be just doesn't have enough time to do that and looking more for a simple plug and play solution. :)

The yota masters is for the whole kit. Might be worth contacting them for just the harness that you need.

I have, and have a bunch of solder sleeves I could use, but I want to use the same cable as the rest of the harness so I’d end up having to buy a roll of that cable anyway.

This is where I’m at. I just bought a house and am remodeling it while working full time and doing an engineering masters degree. I get a couple hours a month to do 4Runner stuff these days…
 
Food for thought, Honeywell Genesis 1121 18/8c is standard 8 conductor A/C Thermostat wire,
hit up a A/C service guy bet you could get what you need for cheap off the service truck.
Do understand the time constraints do without sleep for a night have more money for remodel. J/K
 
Are the connectors still good? If so worst case. You can send it to me and I will splice new wires in for you to get it functional until you build or find a replacement.. :)

I appreciate the offer, but I don't have any big wheeling trips coming up in the next month or two, so I'm just gonna let it ride until I can get either a new harness or the stuff to make one. For real though, thanks for the offer.

Well, you would think, but that assumes he actually responds...

The good news is that I found a guy on ebay selling 50' lengths of Genesis 3117 18/8c plenum cable, so that'll do for now. Guess I get to build a harness after all.
