15781 Cat Back Magnaflow w/ XREAS

Gang,

Does anyone have the following configuration and if so how do you like it?

2005 V6 4.0L Sport Edition with XREAS Suspension with the Magnaflow 15781 Cat Back Exhaust System.

I have it in a 2004. The sound is mellow while cruising but deep while accelerating. There is a slight drone at 65-70, but to me it is just noticeable above highway noises. Anyways I have the radio on most times so I can barely hear it.

Do you have XREAS? I was wondering if the Cat Back interferes with it in anyway?

Yes on the XREAS. I have a 2004 Sport Edition to be exact. XREAS will have no effect with the Magnaflow system. The XREAS becomes tricky only on the borla/trd exhaust systems because they have a "dual" exhaust exit. To get that exhaust to exit on the driver's side rear, they have to go around the spare tire. Since the magnaflow only exits behind the passenger rear tire, no worries.

Can I also make another suggestion. Buy it from performancepeddler off of ebay. They have auctions with a "Make an offer" option. The ebay listing is at $539 and I offered $390 shipped and they agreed. One hell of a discount Other members have asked for similar offers and also received discounts. You being in Hawaii though will probably drive up the costs for shipping, but it is still better than paying full price.

I did check with them and they a gave a me a price of $425 + $135 UPS ground shipping. Maybe you can put in a word for me? The shipping can't be adjusted, but the maybe they can drop the price a little?

Expect to pay a little over $400.00 due to the increase in steel prices. I paid around $415.00.

See what PP will charge if you do not want the k&n filter or universal high flow converter. When I made my offer I told them I did not want either. Maybe they are factoring in the price of those components in the quote to you.
