Just picked this up for my wife about a week and half ago,traded in our good ol' Ridgeline. She's been wanting another 4runner since we sold her 5spd 4cyl 4wd 95 or 96. Was super clean, I didn't know much about it and thought it was junk due to age. Sold it for 1800$.now I look at the for sale section here and my jaw dropped lol. The Ridgeline was aGreat little ride 0 aftermarket, seriously nothing.
I've already swapped the interior lights for led , full canvas backs, weather techs, billstein, fn fx pro wheels, 275/70 ko2, tforce rails
Parts inbound, ome 2884, t13, total chaos uca, spacer to level out the lean, rola vector roof rack, rola cargo hitch carrier
Let her talk me into bumping it up to the 3rd setting on the billsteins because she didn't like how nose down it was on the .85 setting, reluctantly I did it. I didn't swap it back around yet because I just decided to order one 2884 and t13 springs and coils and TC UCA'S. (which I wanted to do originally anyhow) I'm sure you married guys know how this scenario went down, I digress.
We ordered the Rola vector rack and rola 56" wide cargo hitch. We will be taking a trip up north at the end of may around 2600 miles round trip. I'll have my kid and dog (80lb boxer) with me, luggage etc and two coolers as we are bringing some meat back from the farm, around 300lbs or so. I want it to be comfortable trip so, I want to load up the roof and hitch rack correctly to avoid cramped interior conditions.
So... Few questions
To prevent as much positive rake towards the front, should I order 1/4 spacers just in case we aren't satisfied with the front height I can just slap those babies in or in the event it settles too much? If so, poly or aluminum? I want this sucker level so she is happy.
Would having the weight of the coolers loaded down on the cargo hitch and luggage on the roof make it sag pretty bad in the back with the t13 springs and if so, bad enough I should add air bags while I'm at it?
How do I prevent it from hitting the front mudflaps. I plan to get it aligned ASAP and not sure if adding in as much caster as I can with the TC uca will prevent it from hitting @ full lock in reverse. Will that much caster get it into the front fender? I don't really want to trim if I don't have too.
Any suggestions welcome. I'll add current pics, work in progress. Siting a little from high on that 1.75
