1986 4runner 2.8 3l swap after info

hey all im after some info on how to do a 2.8L 3l diesel engine swap with my factory 2.4 2l diesel! after any info as to what I need to do what issues have people had and what not!
- has anyone done it?
-what needs to be changed wiring wise?
-can I use most the 2l mounts and what not?
-can I use the 2l gearbox?

You're going to have a hard time finding info here, man. Almost everybody on this board is from the States, and we didn't get either of those motors over here because Toyota hates us.

Good luck finding info. Maybe try Toyotadiesel.com or the diesel swap section on Yotatech.com?

Hi

The 2L (or 2LT) and all L engine series sharing almost the same measures
in fact just a little changes and specs one and other
so, the motor mounts will be ok.

you can use the oem 2L gearbox always if you can catch a 3L engine withe the bell housing

The 2L engine came with this specs from factory
some with 2L - G52
2L - W56 gearbox, that bolt pattern is the same as the G52
All the 3L that I know, came with G52, so, if you have a w56 or g52, you just need the 3L came with the correct and oem bellhousing, and the clutch is the same.

Post a pic oy your ride, probably came with solid front axle
