1990 Toyota 4runner wont go into 4 wheel drive just 2 wheel and need help?

I pulled my 22re engine and put another one in and everything seems to be running fine accept my yota wont go into 4 wheel drive. I didnt pull the transmission and the only thing i can think of that there was a wire connection going to the front axel and i double checked that it was plugged in and the 4 wheel drive was working fine before the old motor blew up and now since the new one is in iits out. any ideas????:flamethrwoer2:

ck the vacuum lines on the axle you may have accidently disconnected them during the eng swap !! let us know if this cures your prob .

Hey thanks for the info man but we checked those and there all good but we found the problem after looking for awhile and the wire coming from the transfer case got disconnected. So we should be set but havent tested yet but if i have more questions ill ask. thanks
