1997 SR5 4X4 4runner 5 Spd manual - cars & trucks - by owner -...
I have a 1997 SR5 4X4 with 5spd manual
Reason for selling is basically I don't want to keep putting money into it. Lots of upgrades.
Just drove the car here from CT. 2000 mile drive it held up well.
Known problems.
1. input shaft on the transmission is damaged. It will eat through the pilot bearing if not addressed in the future. New input shaft is $400 in parts.
2. Transfer case is leaking. Still functional.
3. The valve cover gasket is leaking. Does not need to be immediately addressed.
Car is still drivable. It has a new clutch that was just put in.
The interior has some wear. I have detailed the car multiple times including cleaning the headliner and all the vents.
4x4 works. Tires are 60-80% tread. Spare changed recently. Tires rotated and balanced recentlyOil changed every 5,000 miles.
