Hello all I'm first time user of the forum and this form of communication in general I think this is very kewl. Would someone can share some knowledge with me and help me with this problem. Five years ago there was a major issue that caused an engine to be replaced on my 97 Toy 4 runner 3.4 (Running the engine w/o oil). Long story short I bought a used engine from an 03 Toy 4 run and oil dip stick was repositioned to the other side of the engine. My buddy repositioned the dip stick because of the 03 engine configuration wouldn't allow me access to verify oil quantity on my truck (97) without be moved. Engine was installed, oil was serviced when we realized the dipstick wouldn't measure the oil quantity. I later removed the oil pan to inspect what was causing the stoppage of my dipstick entering the oil tank. Regretfully I did not resolve the issue.
I have been operating this truck for 5 years now with my theory of adding proper oil quantity at oil changes and verifying no oil leaks are evident around oil pan etc. my oil quantity is OK. Selling the truck now and DO NOT want to sell it without resolving this issue and definitely don't want to hide it from the potential buyer. Any insight will get all expense paid trip to Vegas and a hand shake from one of the last honest people around now a days in Vegas lol. Thank you for reading this post.
