So a little update for those who may be interested...
I made this speaker enclosure for the parcel tray...
then I made these door panels...
Washed her up...
Then I took her to the track and smoked this modded Z-28...

I was really surprised when you mentioned that your supercharged 3.4 kept up with v8 tundras. That is pretty impressive. I also loved that you said you would install the damn thing at no additional charge. Did anyone take you up on that offer? Super cool all around man.

Yes, although I never actually raced a tundra, the supercharged 3.4 was a very stout little engine. Had no problems pulling the 4Runner around.
The person who got the supercharger was in California so I was not able to help with the install. I would have gladly done it for no charge simply because I love wrenching on these vehicles. It really is like a form of therapy for me.
The SR5 flares I have installed are probably harder to install than the Bushwackers because you really have to be carefull when drilling your holes. I do however think the way they blend into the bodylines at the lower edges flows much better and makes the overall appearance much cleaner. The Bushwacker flare and the Limited flares look great, but seem to poke out too much at the lower part making them look a little clunky. IMO. The SR5 is the only one that I know of that "curves" back in at the bottom.

I bought these fenders aftermarket. 120.00 shipped to my door for the pair. I can't say if they really are as good as OEM, but they fit well and look to be of good quality.

I really like these Tacoma wheels on this truck, but the offset is a little narrow. Now they look just right with these 1.25 spacers.

She took a helluva lick on the drivers side front, The shop did incredible work. I would never have thought they could get these aprons and core support straight. It all measured out to within a millimeter. Amazing. I was able to install all the sheetmetal, bumper and lights without too much tweaking at all.

Also ordered these his and hers matching Field monitors...
I will have to swap the one touch sunroof buttons, the lenses and paint the housings Oak but I'm stoked about this project.

LOL... Thanks man...Lexi is doing fine...She's been prowling the streets at night looking for potential prey. She really likes mustangs and camaros...But she will munch on an occasional import to! I'm looking at the "STU twins and header" upgrade that should put her in the 550-600hp arena. If I decide to go E-85 then that's a whole nother kinda Monsta... She runs mid to high 11s as of now, I would really like to get her into the 9s...

I read Stu's garage and these mods sound expensive. Porting and polishing the header, and going to a larger turbo or porting the compressor housing sounds really expensive.... but the e85... that is an order of magnitude beyond! SS fuel system, pump, upgraded fuel delivery, modding the boost control and remapping fuel tables etc. That's a whole different ball game.... if you do this you must keep us up to date!!!
I'd like to see the faces of those Camaro owners when they see the tail lights of a Lexus...

Yep...the only thing stopping me from the E85 conversion now is the lack of stations around here to fill up at.
They are finalizing the design on the headers now, may be ready by end of October. We will see... I really want those 9s
Then I can mess with the Demon's and the Exorcist's. They seem to be really hot right now.
It's funny, I never take it to any cruise ins or meets. I usually drive the T/A cause it's Flashy. Nobody around here knows who owns that little black Lexus...Been more than a few times now I've overhead people talking about it at the gatherings, not knowing who I am. Once I overheard someone saying it's some one off japan only RHD prototype...lol
I had the Trans Am at a cruise in the other day, and a guy comes up to me and says...Watch out for a murdered out beat up lexus...He's been raping camaro's and firebirds...LOL...I said I would keep an eye open for hIm... lol My Wife who was with me, smiled and said...You're infamous...

So excited...It's just a small thing, and may be a little cheese but I love it...
I am waiting on my temp sensor to arrive, and I need to find a better color match for the paint. Overall I'm happy with the Field Monitor. It just makes me smile for some reason.

I’m Needing some Help Please..
I’m Just wondering if anyone has had the 1uzfe and the auto box that was in it ??
I’ve just brought a 4Runner with this engine and box in it!, and after having this same engine but with a 5 speed manual in my Hilux and absolutely loving how had it went, I just couldn’t believe it was the same engine!!, I’ve owned plenty of Auto boxes before that still go pretty hard! But the auto box that originally came with this engine I’m Very very disappointed with to say the least. I’m not sure if my box is like all of these boxes or perhaps mine needs some adjusting if that possible?? It’s very very Sluggish indeed!, even if I put my boot into it it’s like sitting beside and older grandparent driving!!.
PLEASE tell me these boxes can be adjusted so I can get some type of performance and enjoyment out of it ? As at the moment I put my foot down and it pretty much dose Nothing!..
Can someone Please give me some Good News that these gearboxes can or do get up and go hard without spending heaps of money modifying the box to do what it should...

Well, It's hard to say really without knowing exactly what set up you have.
Could be one or more of a dozen things.
If you have the engine and transmission running properly in stock form, It may still feel a little sluggish compared to the manual trans in the "Seat of the pants feel." Honestly from your description, it seems you may have some engine problems to figure out first. The 1uz should be able to overpower a struggling trans.
There are more than a couple things you can do to squeeze a little or a lot more performance out of the A340. Just search around the web for A340 topics like "shimming the accumulators" or "shift solenoid mods" Basically anything the Supra crowd is doing with their A340s. Hint, you can take the hint from the Supra crowd that these A340 transmissions can and do handle very high horsepower duties without being sluggish in any way. As a matter of fact, with the right build, they are capable of being much quicker than the manual box.

My rig was in need of some TLC and I just figured while I was at it, why not do some useful upgrades.

Found these OEM lower ball joints, OEM CV axle boot kits, and OEM front diff seals. When I was looking for the whiteline LCA bushings I couldn't find them so I found these Nolathane ones. Anybody know anything about them?
Toytec Boss Reservoir system, Hoping this kit does what I need it to do. It looks to be very good quality.
Total Chaos UCAs with uniballs and poly bushings.
Picked up these EVILBAY rear control arms and panhard with poly bushings and adjustable heim joints. I don't know how they will work out but they are BEEFY...
So I got to work with disassembling everything...Stopped here for the night. darkness at 4:30 comes too fast this time of year.
