2.4L vs. 3L turbo Diesel

Is it true that the 1992 hilux surf has the 2.4L turbo diesel and the 1993 has the 3L.
is one of those motors better than the other???
are the 92s just as reliable?? just a smaller motor..

The head problems, if the 2.4L has the 3L head is this problem solved.. im in the middle of wanting to buy one and the guy did this to the truck..

What kind of things do i have to look at when i am looking at it..

im having a issue finding what the question is in this.
the diesel is a great engine but the 3.0 gas engine is not so good

which motor of the diesels, the 2.4 and the 3L which is a better motor...
i am stuck between choosing between 1991 and 1995 diesel..
which year is ideal, giving into consideration that all of the hilux for sale before 1992 (which is the last year of that gen).
the 1992 has a 3 inch lift with 33" tires and 120K for 7g
the 1994 has no lift but the head is fixed with 120K for 8g

which one do you think is a better model?

the 92 and the 94 i listed are the possible choices to pick from.

Id go the 3L personally. You dont have to worry about the head crack issue. Sure they can say its fixed but Im not sure how you really check.

I was looking into buying these a couple years ago. There is not much price difference between the 2.4 and the 3.0. For peace of mind id pay the extra for the 3.0.

The 3.0's were used for many years and were considered a very solid diesel engine.
