2 4runners need lifted

I finally found a 3rd gen with 106 on the clock and its a five speed. i am going to lift it and i am looking at the toytec ultimate lift for it. is there any cons to doing this? and my mom has a 2005 sport 2wd with locker. she doesnt go off roading much but when we go we take her car and my dads taco 2wd with locker and 2in lift. she wants a little more ground clearance will spacers be fine for this application.
