2 wire connectors under passenger seat - 2002

Today I swapped the cushions on the front seats and my passenger has 2 wire connectors. Is one to determine if someone is sitting in the passenger seat and the other for the seatbelt?

User's manual says passenger airbag deploys even with no passenger so it's not an airbag sensor.

Well I'm certain one is for the safety belt, I only say this because when my dog gets the privilege of sitting in the front seat, he's weighs just enough to trigger the seatbelt sensor. When he moves the sensor goes off, and so the light continues to flash during the whole ride or until I've had enough and throw him in the back.

Might the other set of wires be for the "limited" automatic seats? Just pre-wired in all vehicles.

No, it's not a limited but perhaps it's prewired as you said. I don't think it's a problem but was curious why the passenger seat has 2 connectors under the seat the driver's side only has one.

I also have the same under my seat for my SR5 which has leather. I was wondering if it was premiered for heated seats.

I'm pretty sure that those are for the ejector seat.

Lol, yeah and you sure as hell don't want to get those wires mixed up, or else it will be you who gets "goosed" ....and not the co-pilot
