at 20k miles, i have rotated my 5 tires 3 times (dunlops). before rotation they made the steering wheel shake between 60-70 mph. after rotating, shaking in the steering wheel is gone but the 4runner now has a bouncy\shaking feeling at around 70-80 mph. Time for new tires ? if so probably revos' right ?

tire vibration

Every time I have had a vibration in the driveline I've found enough mud stuck to the inside of a rim to throw the balance off. Sometimes even a good pressure washing won't get this stuff off without a little extra attention to the back side of the rims. Check the inside of your rims you may find some stuff hanging on there that doesn't belong

48k miles on my stock Dunlops and they're still fine. Perfectly even wear too. I've only rotated them twice (14k & 30k). Never had to rebalance at all. I will definitely replace them w/revos before this winter.

Speaking of Dunlops AT 20's, my dealer has a set of 4 taken off a new vehicle that he is prepared to sell to me for $Cdn 100 each, balanced and installed. Sound a bit high?

Well I recently bought 4 tires for my jeep thru tirerack. Then I had STS install them. The install cost me $ 30 USD per tire, so that dealer price is right on the mark.

Way too high! $25 each plus install. A set of 4 cost $500 brand new. $30 each to install also is too high!
