So I kinda have a off topic question but it wont let me start my own thread so here goes. I have a 2001 4runners sr5 2wd. I have 265/70/16 and am looking to go up in size to 18' or 20's. Is this possible and how would I determine the correct size tire to fit each rim also? I'm not looking for offroad or a/t tires more like a low profile street tire. People tend to only customize 4runners for off road, I'm looking for more low and slow approach.

I'm running a 275/55 R20; which is not quite as large as a 60% but I can get them to rub the liner if I hit a driveway ramp hard while pinning the steering wheel in either direction,

I have a Tacoma with a 3 inch lift so clearing the tires isn't a big issue for me.
I also have 1.25 spacers if I need them

What tire pressure is everyone running on there LE 20s with 275 55 R20 AT tires?

My 14 Limited hit 50k on recently and I decided I was due for some new shoes. I'm all stock suspension, but as many others do ... Despise the skinny OEM rim / tire. As usual, forum delivers on my options! Thank you! Thank you to 1engineer for his tire figment guide!
I went with 275/55 Firestone Destination LE2 tires. I had same on my 2004 V8 AWD. They are obviously not if interest to the off-road crew amongst us, but for us virtually 100% road drivers ... I would recommend checking them out. Much softer and quieter ride than the OEM Yokos. From my experience with the same tires on my 2004, they are excellent rain and dry pavement. They track very well down the road. No road noise.
I did contemplate going to the Continental cross contacts, but felt like wanted to stay w the Destinations ultimately. My wife is almost due for her RX350 and may try the Continentals on that.
Some pics coming in few minutes, for any other members curious on the look (definitely lessens the "pizza cutter" look (stole phrase from somebody here

I run 33-PSI cold, Summer and Winter. 275/55R20, Goodyear Eagle LS2, 70k+ miles and the things are still going strong, but will probably replace them in a month or two.

Pretty sure these are the 18 offset!

These are XD818 Heist Wheels 20x9'' with et18 I believe. Tires are either Nitto Terra Grapplers or Bridgestone Blizzak DV-M1 in a 275/55/20 size.

Rig - in reading through some of the older threads I see how well-planted you feel the truck is with these on. Beefier, good highway ride, etc. I didn't see anything related to snow though. Can you share anything on how these do in the snow?

Hi Paui,
I never discussed snow covered road driving because 'as you probably know' there's 'ALWAYS' a 'trade-off' to be considered! These LS-2's are exceptional performers on dry, flat terrain; particularly at very high speeds e.g., 80 and up (handles like you're only doing 50)! But in snow (IMHO) they're 'less than impressive'! Don't get me wrong, I never get stuck. It's just that I have to behave remembering that I have 'No Advantage' regarding slick wet surfaces like I do when negotiating deep snow covered roads before the snow plow gets to our area!

That's definitely helpful. I'm going to need new rubber before too long. Like some others on here, I like the looks of the 20" rims, but would definitely like something a bit more meaty(without going too crazy as admittedly mine is on pavement way more than anywhere else). Also considering the Coopers as I have a connection at a dealer.
