20 inch wheels on LIMITED

Does anyone in here have some t4r Limited nightshade 20" wheels they want to sell? I am looking for a set. Located in Central TX

I just ordered the caps based on your part number but i cant seem to make them stick on. Like they'll go in but i can easily pull them off T.T

You’ll find that lots of things on these vehicles are like that [emoji2958] reliable as all hell but something about the durability of plastic anchors and connectors, specifically.

Has anyone researched widening the OEM wheels? Then get a 275-295 width tire, and have the wheel offset out towards the fender more?

Not sure for 4runner. I looked into this for my s2000. I was in STR class autox and wanted to go up one class to STU which allowed for >11" wide wheel. I had a pair of out of production Kosei wheels and wanted it to stretched from 9" to 11" so I could run a 285 tire. I was quoted $250 per wheel to weld, then heat treat, then repaint. I never ended up following through and stayed in STR class.

Thnx. I read this whole thread, and it seems for the Limited guys, they want a more European look, vice an off road luck with this model.
The Limited wheels are , well limited.. Not much choice for aftermarket that appeals to me at least.
For the cost of new wheels I think widening these might be an alternative.
I have had wheels repaired and repainted, and they are less than new, but look new when done.
I may go look into this , as we have a wheels shop that does custom/repair work on wheels.
275/50/20 has some real nice street tires. 275/55/20 a few , but more M+S/Off road.

I wouldn’t widen a factory wheel if I’m going through that effort and expense I’m just going to order something sharp looking, like the 4Play 4P60:

These are… closer to $500 LOL. If I did that, there is an odd size called a 285/45R22 that might just fit!

Paradox of choices, yes. But its all a personal choice. Some wheels just look terrible, very few look good..

If I want to keep the stock rims and P245/60R20 tire size, is there any major preference between the Michelin Defender LTX M/S and the Toyo Open Country A/T 3? Virtually all my driving is highway but I live in the Northeast so snow and rain traction becomes an issue.

Personal opinion of course, but the Michelin Defender is of the very best tires ever made. If one is made in the size I’m shopping for, I don’t even consider other tires. I’ve always been rewarded for sticking to them. All around great tires. I think they’re the best, but I value roundness, comfort, quietness, etc over absolute performance. I also think they perform great though.

I have the Toyo AT2 (before the AT3 came out). If you are all highway, I would get the Michelin. Defender LTX M/S is snow rated, but will never be as good as a dedicated snow tire like Blizzacks or X-ice. If I lived in an area that snowed for 1/2 the year I would still switch my Toyo AT2 for real snow tires.

I wish I could answer for you but I can’t wear my factory tires out fast enough to see. Else, I’d be glad to be the guinea pig and test them out.
