20 inch wheels on LIMITED

I got the lift installed last night. I used the Daystar 2.5 front/ 1.5 rear and mounted 275/60 20 Terra Grapplers on the factory rims. While it was up in the air, I did the fender liner mod that Harper suggested above. No rubbing at all. The 'Runner looks great and rides stock...and no power loss that I can tell. I'll get some pics when I get a chance. BTW- my Limited is mag gray, so you'll get a good idea of what your's would look like.

Can't wait to see some pictures! Love that yours is even Mag Gray too, it will give me some real motivation to get these tires! My only concern is that yours is lifted more than mine is. I have the Toytec 2" front leveling kit and that's it. Right now the truck sits about dead level (which I like). I'm wondering if my back tires would be too big in the wheel well without a lift back there... :bash:

Geolander Tracking Problem

A number of posts here indicate the Toyo Geolander is a good tire for the Limited. I have a 2011 limited with them and it is all over the road when the road is gooved in the same direction as the lanes. Simple 2" groves on new concrete results in terrible handling above 50mph. Do any of the new tires have substantially better tracking/handling. What about the Bridgestone REVO2?

I have 285/50-20 Michelin Latitudes mounted on mine. I'm very happy with the improvement in ride, handling and looks.

Do you notice if there is any change on the MPG?

Sorry about being sluggish with the pics. I had a family emergency over the weekend...and it's dark when I get home everyday during the week. I should be able to get some up this weekend.

As far as them fitting without lifting the rear, I think it would work. Quite a few guys on here are running 275/55's without lift. The 275/60's are only an inch taller, so that would put then 1/2 an inch closer in the wheel wells.

Plus...the 275/60's are a hair narrower than the 55's per specs at Nitto, Hankook and Cooper, which is why I went with them. To me they don't look too wide for the whimpy rim like the 55's do (my personal opinion).

Installed The Tires - Michelin 275/55/20

Hello Guys,

Just wanted to share my thoughts with you. After installing the Spider trax spacers and trying to figure out what to do with the skinny tires that came on the vehicle.....well I finally decided to go ahead and install the Michelin LTX MS2 in the size of 275/55/20. All I can say is wow. The ride, look and feel are just excellent. I was a littel worried when i first saw the tires because of the noticeable size but after they mounted it up it looked really good and like it belong there. I had the stock 245/60/20 which were Bridgestone Dueler but they seemed to wander on me in corners on the highway that is why I changed them. See picture of wheels mounted with new tire vs old tires. When multiplied by the width equales lots of more traction on the road.. :=)

I am not trying to push anyone on buying any particualr brand all I am stating is that with the Michelin tires I put on my vehicle I could not be happier with the end results...one thing is for the tires to look nice but another is actually feel the difference.....thanks for all the posts guys!!! Thanks to you guys I got these really nice tires installed.

Great pictures! Tires look awesome! Have you noticed any rubbing anywhere without using the spidertrax spacers? Any chance at some close ups from the front (to see the width and tread)? Thanks!! :thumb3:

Do you have any pictures of the T4R with the wheel spacers on it? As well as any with these tires on the truck as well?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I am thinking of putting the spacers on mine as well but I don’t want the tires sticking out too far. Did you keep the spacers on with the wider tires?<o></o>

The only rubbing was on the front fender liner, which I moved forward. There's plenty of room between the tire and the UCA up front. Here's a couple of other pics I took today.
