Hey everyone, I am going to get some new wheels on my 2011 T4R TE and I was just wondering if you think 20 inch rims or 18 inch rims would look better. I'm thinking about either getting the XD series monster or Ultra Gauntlets but I am open to recommendations. By the way my TE is black. Thanks

I like Ultra Gauntlets 237/238 rim, but I was told it only fits 285 tires, which is too wide for me, I prefer 265, or 275 at most.

Gauntlets are my pick!
This advice is based off my first hand experience. I have an LE and went with the 20" gauntlets with MTs (295/55 nitto trail grapplers). Worked great off-road, on-road left a lot to be desired. After 12,000 miles on them they were sold this past weekend. I downsized to the 18" gauntlets with ATs (295/65 duratracs) and man what a difference with the on-road manners! I'm glad I was able to experience the differences between 20s and 18s both on and off-road, I learned a lot.
I would recommend the 18s as it still gives you the bigger wheel and you can get a beefier tire with taller sidewall for added on/off-road comfort and capability.

Hey, I am not really sure if I am going to lift it or not that is what I am contemplating on. I'm thinking the toytek ultimate lift but I don't know If I'm going to do it as of right now.

Why would anyone buy a trail edition and put 20s on it? Apparently it will not be used off road. I just can not understand the logic of having a trail and make it into a mall cruiser.
hahaha its just a question!! and i was wondering because the shop i was looking at only had the 20" rims but i wasnt really feelin them and i wanted to know what everyone else was thinking!
I agree. I wish I could go 16" so as to gain more sidewall for offroading.

I had 20s on mine and took it offroad all the time. And then it looks really good on the road too!
