2000 4runner Rear Window

Hi,

I have a 2000 with rear window problems. The motor works fine, it just won't stay on track. It goes down crooked, and has to be guieded back up (one person working the button, the other guiding it). I opened up the panel and the aluminum bars appear to be rusted out. I heard rear window problems are common. Is there a quick fix?

thanks.

I don't remember from taking mine apart, but are there supposed to be pads or rubber inside the metal tracks to keep the window in tight? I have had those fall of on other cars and cause the same thing.

What a newbie. This dude Kristopher D asks one question and I scared him off.:uzi:

You should be able to go to a salvage yard and get replacement rear window parts. But if the rear hatch is in good shape, most wrecking shops won't part it out but would rather sell it whole.
