2003 Ongoing A/C issue.....

Seems there have been more than a few issues with the 2003 or 2004 A/C's where the A/C's tend to warm then cold. Basically, when my A/C cycles because it has gotten to cold in the evaporator, it takes tooooo long to come back on. I've replaced the condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, and compressor along with swapping the A/C amplifier. Also changed the sensor in the evap case (did this one first). Problem still persists. Charge is perfect at 1.35 lbs of Freon. All the lines where flushed. The only thing left is the controller and that will likely go next unless someone can point me to a sensor that feeds the system.

I understand the controller is mainly for Auto functions but I found the temp sensor in the cabin, if unplugged will "melt your corneas" even at 65 degrees. When I plugged it back up, I cleaned real well. Hasn't been warm enough to really check A/C function again since I toyed with that sensor. I know there is an sun load sensor in the dash as well. Can that impact normal A/C function when set to a manual temp? Are there any other sensors that feed the system? Do I have to pull the dash to replace sun load sensor?

Have the same issue with our 2003 v8. A/C just doesn't keep up. Did several recharges, and then finally this year I replaced the evaporator and expansion valve. It helped a little, but the A/C still is nowhere near as cold as it should be. I also have a 2000 T4R (3rd gen) and the A/C in that truck is literally twice as cold as the 4th gen.

I think the next thing i am going to try is an auxiliary pusher fan to try and move more air over the condenser. I don't really know what else to try.... :bowl:
