2003 Runner Frame Rust.

So there I was at the dealership getting my brake's bled after replacing 3 calipers. I asked them to put an inspection sticker on the truck to get me through the year. Go to pay and they said it wont take a sticker due to a hole in the frame. I was all like :faint: WAT! Sure enough right in the front drivers side wheel well the part at the very front left that hangs down has a hole the size of a quarter or better. FML I will get some pictures after the Blizzard of 15.

I have no idea what I am going to do. I wanted to run this truck for quite some time. I just put over $1200 into repairs and maintenance. Not to impressed at all right now the dealer said I should call customer care and see if they will fix it but I doubt it will matter with 160K.

Anyone have any other ideas?

I just purchased an 03 and there is rust, but no holes...I hope. Keep us posted. I'm looking at my options right now in dealing with what I've got. Sounds like removing what I can and then POR 15 is what I'll try.

This is why I love the south.

Update.

No frame for me!

I talked and talked with Toyota care and elevated it as high as they would let me and no such luck. "Sir the warranty is 3 Yrs 36K miles" No offer of a rebate on a new one or anything.

Oh well I will repair it myself this spring and try to make due. Still need to get pics but it won't stop snowing and being cold as heck.

I know my 03 is pretty rusty, but no holes. It will likely have a few over the next couple years, and I'll take care of those myself.
