2005 4Runner with 3/2 lift & 285-70-17 Tires

In the next couple of weeks I'm going to lift my Runner, 3" front and 2" rear. I intend to keep the stock rims (at least for this year) and I've been looking at various 285-70-17 tires.

I've been going through multiple forums looking for an answer as to whether or not the tries will rub...I have already decided I'll go with 1" spacers, so....

Will the 285-70-17's rub?

I have an 03 toytec 3" lift installed goodyear duratrac 285's They caught the front mud gurads and the lower innner fender walls (which I just cut out) on the rear when turning & going up a incline it hit the rear mud guard bolts.. So far that all i have found....Have fun!

You will need to trim and remove the front mud flap for sure.

You also might rub the UCA but depends on what type of tire you go with.

Put a set of Spidertrax 1.25 or all pro 1.5 wheel spacers on, trim some and slide the fender lining in and it won't rub. Plenty are running Cornfed 3/2 or Daystar 2.5/1.5 with Spidertrax with minimal to no rubbing, depending on tire. Good luck! :cheers:
