I swapped the Duratracs back on for the winter season here in Colorado. We do a lot of ski trips, so I need the better snow tire on there.

What year did the Tundra shocks you're running in the rear come off of? I've been trying to hunt down a compatible pair of DSC Fox Shocks for my truck and have come up empty handed so far. If you have a part number that'd be awesome too [emoji106]

I installed longer hydro hoses for the rears the the resi's would tuck farther back along the frame. I have specs for those hoses somewhere in my records if you need em.

Yeah I tracked down the hose specs just didn't find a part number for the shock.. Cheers man, sweet build

Looks great. Suitable replacement for fogs or is the cutoff not defined enough for that?

The Baja Designs Wide Cornering has a flat cutoff that is fully functional as a fog light, highly recommend. I don't get flashed either with this in city driving.:clap2:

Your truck has been my favorite for a long time! I searched but didn't see, are you still on your original tie rods? Does your wheel shake/rotate/shimmy at all when driving over bumps? I get a lot of road feedback through the wheel on normal streets. My car tracks dead straight on the highway by it gets jittery over the bumps. When you drive over bumps at moderate speed, do you feel any road feedback through the wheel?

Thanks, I appreciate it. I replaced my OEM tie rods at 140k with a japanese aftermarket kit. They seemed to help.
I think now that I'm approaching 195k miles, I may want to replace my steering rack. I feel a bit more wheel play, and my alignment is always off. We shall see.

Finally got around to tackling the installation of additional brake lights on the CBI rear bumper. I found that with the spare tire mounted, it blocks one of the taillights from a 45 degree angle. The resolution was to install some new Optronics STL178RBP STL178 Series Red 6" Sealed LED Stop/Turn/Tail Light (Glolight). I tapped directing into the tailight wiring.
Wiring was as follows:
White/Black = Ground
Green/Yellow = Brake lights
Green = Running light/parking light
The Red/Yellow = reverse
Blue/Black = Left Turn
Blue/Yellow = Right Turn
I'm pretty pleased with the end result. They match well with the OEM LED tailights, and adds a unique touch.

Wiring was as follows:

Amazon has them. I listed the part number and wiring diagram for fellow users. Note, it would actually be cool to find a led light with running/brake/and reverse lights all in one.

I was thinking the same thing. I found this one but not sure how bright the reverse lights would be

VOLT/AMP 12.8VDC - .35A Stop/Turn, .05A Tail, .3A Back-up
Seems the backup should be plenty bright based on the Tail vs Back-up amps. My Tails are relatively bright.

So i wanted to add a snorkel, and after research decided to jump on a ebay LC80 series snorkel. I bought 2, 1 for a template. After cutting off the inlet pipe, and mock mounting up, I was not happy with the overall fitment of the snorkel. Too much gab in front and the angle of the A pillar was off.
Not going to drill a hole in my fender if I don't like the fitment...bummer.
I have 2 sets of extras if someone wants to give it a go. $40.

Me, [MENTION=112497]VA4Runner09[/MENTION] and another buddy have all installed these Land cruiser snorkels on our 4th gens in the past few months and have turned out great. It looks sketchy at first because of the gap, but it really sucks in once you drill the holes and tighten the bolts to the fender. We're all in Denver if you want to take a look or need help! We scrapped the template it comes with and made our own and I think we still have it.

Interesting...the gaps kinda put me off for the moment.
Did you heat up the snorkel to bend it back a bit so it aligns with the A Pillar better? Its close...just didn't want to drill at the time.
Perhaps we can meet up one of these days for an install...or at least a trail run.

It is definitely scary to hold it up there because you're thinking no way in the world will this line up and look good. But we took our time, made a new cardboard template and kept holding it up and adjusting, and marking and remarking the holes til it seemed close and took the plunge and drilled the holes and once the bolts are fastened to the fender, it looks really really good. I'd say 95% fit. No heat required. My truck is in the shop now getting the bumper recoated but if you're still looking to do the snorkel in a few weeks, will give you a hand for sure.
