2007 cigarette outlet not working

As the title says the cigarette outlets are not working. Neither the one if the front or the rear. I have checked the fuse's and they are all intact. There is no corrosion around the plug or inside it.

I am a little lost as to what the issue maybe.

Are you certain you're checking the right fuse? If your 4runner doesn't have the "smoker's package" I don't think you have a cigarette lighter, you should have a 12v power outlet. If you're pulling the fuse for the cigarette lighter, that's a different one.

It's easy to mistake the fuses. Ask me how I know that. :

Expanding a little, there is a fuse for the 12v front and rear power outlets and there is one for the cigarette lighter in the Smoker's Package. Since my '07 has the smoker's package I have both and I can tell you they are not on the same fuse.

I don't have my T4R at work today otherwise I'd run out there and check the number for the 12v power outlet fuse.

EDIT: OK, just looked at my PDF owner's manual. Fuse for the cig lighter is 45 (10a.) Fuse for the power outlet is 37 (15a.) Try those first.

I have a 2007 4runner as well and my 12v front power outlet is also not working. I did look under the console and it was connected to whatever wire is suppose to plug into it. I know where the fuse box is located. How do I know if the fuse is not working?

Also I'll apologize in advance for the dumb question, but your ignition and ACC are on, right? Because in stock form the accessories don't work when the ignition is off.

Pull it out and look at it. If it is blown there will be a visible break in the wiring. You could also just swap out a known good fuse of the same amperage.

Thank you! There's a lot I don't know and you kind people have helped me out a lot. My fuse was blown for that power outlet. Tried it with another one (the blue ones labeled 15) and it worked. Can I just get another fuse at any car store like autozone? Will it look exactly like the blue 15 one that is blown? Also, is there a fuse for the powered mirror in the fuse box? I couldn't locate it looking at that guide. My power mirror isn't working. I know I sound like an idiot. Thanks for the help!

You can replace it with another 15a fuse. Don't use a bigger fuse as it could cause damage (or even a fire.) There are different styles and shapes of fuses so take one of the dead ones with you to the auto store to make sure you get the right one. BTW you should have two spares, a 10 and a 15, in the fusebox under the hood. I think that's where your fuse puller is, too.

As for the power mirror, was this a Toyota accessory? It probably does have a fuse but it might be in-line (that is, somewhere between the mirror and the fuse block.) Trace the wires to see if you can see a fuse holder.

Cool, I will see if I still have the replacements under the hood. I believe the power mirror is the OEM mirror that come in the 4Runner. I bought the truck recently and the mirror has never worked (compass and auto dimmer).

So I checked the suggested fuse's and 37 was blown. I going to the store to get a new one and hopefully that will fix the issue. And I did mean the outlet not the cigarette lighter.

EDIT: Changed the fuse out and it is working fine now. Thanks for the help.

I was checking my fuses to make sure that there were not any other blown ones that might cause the powered mirror to not work. I just took a couple out and put them back in. None were blown but suddenly my powered mirror worked again......strange :thumb3: I wonder if the fuse for the 12v power outlet is somehow connected with the powered mirror. I have no idea....just glad I got both working again.
