Bought the TR a month ago...unlikely to be used offroad :) But maybe :)
Do roof rack cross bars make any dif to mileage?
Is the mileage computer accurate? mine says 16.1-16.2 mpg
I have 18" wheels, that a good thing or does't matter? 17 seems popular.
Vehicle doesn't feel "solid" , feels kinda like tires are underinflated :(
I think shocks need replacement and bilsteins seem to be the answer?
What pros, cons to adding FJ coils?
What pros, cons to the slight lift with FJ springs?
What about stock springs with air bags in back?
My local mech will do Shock R&R for < $400
Something I DIY?
Looking for a good photo or diagram of the drive train.
How-when to use the H4-L4 feature?
looking forward to the learning curve!

Cross bars to add some slight wind resistance but probably not even a full mpg worth.

Mileage computers are typically accurate but you need to reset them with each fill up. Best thing to get accurate mileage is to clear your tripometer to 0 when you fill up then when you fill up again divide how much gas you put in by how many miles you drove.

18" are fine just more expensive for new tires and slightly heavier so mpg may suffer some but not too much

You can check your tire pressure but idk what exactly you mean on that one.. Sorry

If you feel shocks need to be replaced then go with the exact same shock height and make sure you don't lift your vehicle (although shocks won't lift your vehicle but don't get longer shocks on stock height) because the more you lift the worse your mpg will be (and that sounds important to you)

Idk anything about popping fj stuff on to 4Runner stuff. Sorry. But don't worry about lifting if you're not going off road and want good mpg

4H should only be used with mild off roading or maybe some slick situations involving snow or the like. Based on your statement, you probably won't use 4L

Do you know if it has xreas?

a shot xreas system will make the truck wallow pretty bad. The tacoma trd off road coilovers and 5th gen 4runner rear work nice.

No XREAS
Is there a reset for the MPG indicator?
My Murano had a MPG reset but never used it.

How to test H4-L4 ? haven't tried it yet.
Wife's been using 4r everyday :(
