2009 4Runner V6 Limited, Rare?

I purchased a 2009 Limited with a V6 and I was wondering if this is rare as Toyota was reducing production on 2009s and then introducing the new model 2010. So this being said is there anyone else on the forum that has an 09 Limited. Mine has the X-Res Suspension and just about everything else except for the air height adjust and the rear locking differential. I also found it interesting that this was the last year that a V6 limited would have the multi mode 4 wheel drive. The 2010 and beyond in the Limited all have full time 4 wheel drive.

Don't know about the 2009 Limiteds, but I know for sure that the 2009 Trail Editions and 2009 V8's are super rare.

I searched the entire country for both on Autotrader.com a few weeks ago and did not find any.

They are rare because sales of 4R dropped by almost 50% in 2008 (09 model year). Remember gas hit $4+ a gallon that summer and everyone was dumping SUV's/trucks. I remember shopping for a new car August 2008 and Tundra's and Sequoias were being sold new for $26k-28k with all the factory incentives and rebates and no one was buying them.

The same thing will most likely happen again..sigh

Not to mention that those would just be coming off Lease right now. When I was looking last year it was easy to find 08s, I assume that would be the same for this year with 09s.

That is very true. In fact that is the same year I bought my 05 sport. It was a one owner lease with just over 18,000 miles on it for $21,998. Mint inside and out. Previous owner probably didn't have kids since the inside was spotless. SUV sales were on the decline that year since the gas prices were very high and people who didn't need an SUV (people without kids and didn't need to tow anything for example) were trading them for something smaller and more fuel efficient. Buyers had the upper hand and could get a deal at the time if they were looking to buy one.

Hmmm, there's currently 8 2009 4Runners for sale on E-bay.. Mixture of limited and sports.

Toyota definitely reduced production in 2009. It is probably a combination of increasing gas prices and change in design for the upcoming year. I know V8's were very sparse in 2009.
