2010-2012 Standard Radio BEEP is annoying as heck!

If there is one thing that annoys me greatly about the radio, it's the high volume shrill sounding BEEP it makes when using the bluetooth. Not only does it make me cringe, but it actually hurts my ears too (I'm sensitve to high pitched sounds). As far as I can tell so far, there's no setting to change this or lower the volume of it.

I would seriously consider a new DD deck if I can still use party mode and the steering wheel buttons. I think I know what I'm going to ask Toyota for as compensation for the FR-S lemon I bought from them. I know good luck on that, but I'm going to ask anyhow.

I agree and that is why I do most everything through the phone and not voice recognition.

Ive noticed this as well, as I use Pandora from my phone most of the time. Its pretty intermittent on my radio though and I haven't been able to pin down any kind of common setting/issue that's causing it.

I also noticed the same issue on my 11 tC that I had before the T4R, and because of that I suspect that it is being caused by interference of some kind to the bluetooth signal, as it also sometimes occurs when talking on the phone via bluetooth.

The Subaru boxer engine in the fr-s/brz is plagued with issues concerning rough idling, stalling, check engine light coming on and so forth. Toyota and Subaru are trying to band aid the mechanical issues with the camshaft timing gears by replacing the ECU on affected vehicles. That's just the main issue, but there's other quality control problems too like defective tail lights and excessively noisy (chirping) high pressure fuel pumps. It's a very ugly situation for some people.

Holy cow... glad I dodged that bullet. I hope they get the kinks out because I really liked the FT-86. I was following it for years before its release and planned to get one eventually. I'm surprised at the issues with the engine. Is that 2.0 a pretty common engine for Subie? The rest of those problems just sound like awful quality control. I had issues with the tC first came out (I was in on the original pre-order) but didn't have the patience to press Toyota after they kept blowing me off. I did end up having to lemon law the 350Z that replaced it. I'm pretty sure I was cursed for a while... :witch:
