At least I am not addicted
Well let me tell you gentlemen I thought I had a few too many watches until I have read what lays within these pages.
I don't think I have anything too fancy, I do like my Tommy watches, I only have 4 of them now I think and 1 nice Fossil, a good old Seiko, something called a Yema from Paris similar to the Movado, (1 G-Shock that I can’t find?) and a Roots oh and a nice old Waltham, I also have a Corterbert that is supposed to have been produced around I think they said 1820 or earlier it is a (in their words) Trainman’s timepiece, in other words a pocket watch but different.
Then I have about 4 or 5 more, 2 of them worthless (great for wrenching). Now that I have joined the club (of watchers LoL) I would like to say I have always wanted a Breitling Automatic of a few different styles, and the Tag Heuer Link series & Carrera Calibre 5’s. I am always looking fo a good deal on a nice watch, as you will see by the photo I like simple watches, if Casio makes a nice one that is simple at a good price I am always looking (hint , Hint).

I also quite like the Martac Pilot and the price makes it even more agreeable for the wife and she says she likes the look.

For me one the sweetest signs of success was being able to take off my watch to never wear one again.
Ha. Post pics when you get it. I'm thinking it will be either very silly or actually pretty cool.

(deep breath) Let me know how not having a watch works out for you when - when - when you find yourself lost on a sail boat in the middle of the Pacific ocean and it's daytime so you can't look at the stars yet and since you are located near the equator AND on the other side of it the sun is not in a normal position for oh say 3 o'clock like it is in Pennsylvania you need to know what time it is so you can figure out what direction you are heading so you can SAVE YOURSELF and finally show up to a dinner party with nothing more than a good tan for your troubles. See? And you thought wearing a watch only meant knowing when you had to be somewhere. :lmao:

Wish I could participate in the fancy watch conversation. Had to sell mine when I started my own business. 
I had a nice Breitling Navitimer with a white face. Sadly, I only had it for about 8 months LOLOL
Now I just wear a Festina ChronoBike with a white face. It isn't a very expensive watch, but as a long time cycling fan it means a lot to me.
Interesting fact: My watches are never set to the "correct" time. They are always set to the local time of the next place I want to go explore. Right now my watch is set for local Fijian time. I have been there, but I want to go back soon and do more exploring. It is always there to remind me.

(exhale) Its been a few years now and so far its been working great. I do have a blackberry if I really need to know the time but point taken - next time I'm in the middle of the Pacific I will make sure some sort of time piece is with me. Hell, I may feel frisky and even take a GPS too!
Until then, I'll enjoy my watch free freedom along with the joy of forgetting how to set the alarm clock next to my bed.

Wow, take out the big guns! From one WIS to another, nice watch! If you have that in your stable, you have a few more - let's see them!
I always wanted a Royal Oak Chrono but could never swing it. I'm into Panerai's (116, 164), IWC's (SS Port ref. 5001, Pilot Chrono ref. 3717), Omega's (Bond Seamaster, Speedmaster) and the requisite Rolex (GMT-Master II). There are a couple others in the mix.
Anyway, always interesting to run into folks in forums (e.g. T4R) that you probably used to interact with in other unrelated forums (e.g. Timezone?).

Big fan of watches myself— one day I'd like to have several. However, I can certainly identify with phillyd2 pointing out the freedom of not needing to wear one.
For me, the stable is pretty small:
- one for everyday use: Rolex Daytona Cosmograph (stainless w/ black face)
- one for the weekends: Casio Triple Sensor Pathfinder Tough Solar (or whatever they call them nowadays, it's a great watch).

It probably arrived a while ago, but I just got back to DC after spending a month on Lake Wylie. It's definitely worth what I paid for it...
There's no way it can be a Miyota movement in this thing. There's no weight to it whatsoever. The back of the watch came pre-dented -- probably from someone pressing on the case. There doesn't appear to be any way to remove links in the bracelet (or add any for that matter). It very much reminds me of the toy watches I used to get for $.25 in the vending machine in the entrance of my local Acme supermarket as a kid.
