2010 4Runner

Here is the 2010 Prado aka the 2010 GX leaked from an internal Toyota document.

I agree that the GX will be only offered in the V8 and the 4runner wont have that option.

 
Reading that .pdf for the CAN model, now I'm bummed. Full Time 4WD with the V6, come on, and you're forced to get the 3rd row seating with the Limited Model. Yuck. Maybe I'll go buy the Lexus with the V8.

Seems like they are really selling themselves short by not offering the V8. People do pull boats and small campers down here, trailers too.

I TOTALLY agree with you (and Disagree with Hulk311).

I love the smooth power of my V8. The mileage is only a LITTLE worse than the V6 (and not the stupid 11mpg that Hulk311 mentioned).

If this is accurate, I'm even happier I decided to take a serious look at the upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee!

And the best thing about the JGC is...

IT WON'T STINK LIKE TOYOTAS DO!!!!!!

2010 Prado assembly line pics

Here are some pics of the 2010 Prado from the assembly line. They show how the third-row seats fold down, and how much room they take up in the folded position. Toyota will probably use the same setup on the 2010 4Runner Limited, which apparently comes with mandatory third-row seats. Also, the front bumper and bug-eyed headlights on the 2010 Prado look hideous. I hope they don't find their way onto the 2010 4Runner.

I don't think comparing the new Prado to what the 4Runner may look like is fair... The '03 didn't look like the '03 4Runner.

Thats exactly why I am comparing it to the Lexus GX.

They share the exact same drive train FYI.
 
i was at the gym tonight with my siblings and the instructor for the TKB class works for Toyota Motor Company. My sister was teasing me in front of her about how "obsessed" i am about cars, toyota in particular and the 4runner in particular. and i asked her if she knew anything about it even expecting her to not say anything. but her words were "it is coming out soon, this september as a 2010 model" those were her words exactly! :D that sure made my day!

Anyone know why the 2010 4Runner is under such tight lock down? It's pretty obvious it's going to look something between the Sequoia and Highlander.
 
When should we expect some public info? I keep checking back and nothing :(
I remember waiting for info on the 4th gen too.
