2010 locking gas cap re visited

Well, thanks to some of the viewers and dagalz808, I located a
Stant # 10504/ Napa # 7031641 locking cap and so far so good. No check engine lights come on. Peace of mind regarding some teenager pouring a contaminant into the tank is well worth the $15. Thanks all

Not sure I like the idea of having to use a key to open my gas cap however I guess it beats getting sugar poured in there. I'll roll the dice though.

Went to Pep Boys and asked parts guy to pull locking gas cap for 2011 4Runner; none showed. Asked him to pull 2010 model and it shows Stant 11504 (not 10504).

I'm thinking 11504 is the newer model or more specific model for 4Runner. Price is $14.99.

Been using it for 5 days, so far so good. No check engine light or anything weird.

I find it odd that Toyota couldn't implement the door locking on the gas cap..

In my current car, if I lock the doors, the gas tank lid cannot be opened.

I agree with you. and a bit concerned about gas cap not lockable. Are all Toyota vehicle like this?
