I'm quickly coming to the same conclusion regarding selection of aftermarket assessories for the T4R. That said, how hard can it be to make floor mats? I suppose the answer has to do with market share. Not sure how many T4Rs are sold each year, but I suspect the number is well below other brands and models....hence, very limited market share.

Jeep definitely has a completely different group of customers, that's for sure. The 3rd generation 4Runner had a good selection back in the days, but it seems as we move towards the Eco Soccer Mom Generation, we are losing a lot of customers interested in modding their SUV's.
I'm regretting the purchase of the weathertech floor mats. I was told the plastic needed to relax for them to fit perfect. It has been 1 1/2 months and this is how they fit.
I called Weathertech this week and they are going to send me a replacement set of mats because the ones I received are deformed.

Got my WeatherTech digital-fit front and back floor liners in today. I love the way they look and they fit precisely. I'll try and get some pics over the holiday. Very happy with the purchase. I also have the husky cargo liner which is nice, but if the same material is used for the cargo liner as the front/back floors, I'm glad I got the WeatherTechs. The material just seems a bit more...high-end.
I'd be interested to hear opinions of which mat will hold the most water and can be easily removed and dumped out.
I do a lot of fishing and track much water - at day's end, I like to dump out the accumulated water.
Which driver's side floor mat will hold water without spilling over the edge onto the floor?

Yesterday, my dog vomited all over my Husky rear cargo mat. :repuke: I don't even know how that much nasty could have even come out of him! Then, he walked around in it and rolled in it. Not a drop got on the 4runner. I just pulled it out rinsed off and BAM right back in there with no additional hassles. Money well spent, and now I don't plan on changing this mat, despite previous thoughts of trying to just cover the sliding rear cargo tray, but not the rest of it.
FWIW, the Husky front liners are fantastic for sand and water. At the boat landing there is a lot of sandy gravel, and I frequently have to get into the runner straight from the water. Sand, gravel, water, puke, you name it...the Huskieis are your friend!

I wish that there was an option similar to what I had in my GTI. They were the thick rubber Monster Mats that caught everything while looking pretty sharp.
The Hexomat models seem similar, but they aren't quite as finished. It is almost like someone took a big hex mat and just cut it to fit instead of having a mold made for the 4Runner.

Weather tech liners
We have bought 3 sets for 3 different 4runners. Got front, back and cargo area mats. Love the weather tech liners, but actually wasn't aware of the husky brand. I use them year round and they work great for hiking in summer, and snow in winter for my boarding trips. Have saved my carpets. No problems with them. Fit great!
