2011 Floor Liners - New Discussion Husky vs. WeatherTech

Guys, I need to order some mats because my 2011 TE didn't come with any. I had the weather techs in my 2002 that i traded in and I liked them alot. But I can pretty much get the fronts and the backs in Husky for a little more than the WT.

Is the lip of the front floor mat that is on the door sill with the Husky's kind of in the way as you get in and out?

Like someone else said, are the Husky's thicker so the gas pedal hits the mat sooner than compared to the WT?

I have the Husky's and have not had an issue with the lip getting in the way of entering or exiting the vehicle. And, at 5'8", I may lean towards the shorter side of many. have had no issue with my gas peddle hitting the mat. I would think the difference in material thickness would be negligible in this regard.

In the end, I chose the Husky's due to the favorable price difference (as you mentioned) and that they did not require use of the plastic mat holder. I was concerned that rain or melted snow might seep around the hole in the Weathertechs during acceleration or braking. I do like how the Weathertechs comes up higher on the side of the gas peddle, which might guard against mud and snow coming off the side of your shoe better. Both are good products.

Had the weathertechs in my past 3 vehicles and have nothing bad to say about them, Until i got a set for my camry 11.The fit was unacceptable.it warped in the edges so bad that after using it for four months i called up Customer support and complained.They wanted to send a new set.Long story short i gave the new set a shot and after 3 months it did the same thing.Called them again and returned all the items.Got my money back.The issue made me shy away on trying WT on the 4R and Now im using weatherbeaters from husky and liking it.

I got my Husky WeatherBeater through Amazon for about $115 - front and rear, no cargo. The fit is great and they clean up really easily. Highly recommended. I had the same dilemma in choosing and went with Husky because I like the less rigid plastic feel of the Huskies and higher coverage of the dead pedal.

I Velcro'ed mind on the sills, no issues. Great price, work great. I'll really appreciate this winter in NH

I had to be different! I have black seats, carpet and grey trim but decided to go with the tan huskys because I didn't want them to show scuff marks and sandy dirt even though I think the black or grey would have been a better match. But I am very pleased with the huskys especially the cheaper price.

I've got the weathertech liners and they look good and feel good. BUT, they slip around. Meaning, like the liners themselves seem to slip on the carpet.

On the drivers side they move around and i'm using the two clips, and the passenger side there are no clips, so the liner really moves around. It is kinda annoying me. Anybody have any thoughts?

I don't think i want to use velcro or two sided attachment things..

and i definitely don't want to drill a hole into the floor.

Interesting, I have the WeatherTechs, and they are pretty solid. No movement at all. They shouldn't be moving since they are molded to the dimensions of the footwell and floor...Give a shout out to WeatherTech.

really? Dammit! You know what i was thinking. When i bought my truck. The dealer threw in the interior/exterior protection package. I bet whatever they put on the carpet is making it too slippery for the liners to stay in place. Damn you jack taylor toyota!

Sorry, didn't mean to get you mad. But I agree, drill no holes! That leaves but only a couple of solutions. IMHO, Velcro being the best. I think if you try it you will like it. (Kinda like Broccoli) And if you don't, just pull it off and do a little more cursing.....good luck, stay safe.

haha. i wasn't mad. Yeah. I know i probably need to get some velcro.

Should i be looking for some industrial strength velcro or a cheap 4 dollar package from CVS?

I would go for with the better stuff. Having your feet sliding around while trying to drive, not real safe.

ha. the problem is more or less getting in and out of the car, thats when i notice that it moves. Once i'm in and driving its okay. SO it's probably more of a aesthetic thing

Both the WeatherTech Floor liners and the Husky Floor Liners are awesome. Our customers have been extremely happy with either, the Husky Liners are more affordable but you really can't go wrong either way.

Just bought a set of Good Year mud/snow mats for my 2011 Limited. They fit well after minor trimming and look good. At $39 for the entire set I'm surprised more people aren't talking about some of the other options on the market. I like the feel of the GY mats (more of a rubbery feel--definitely no slipping even with wet boots) and they provide good coverage. Bought mine at the local AutoZone store.

Those were the first I bought. The front ones do fit better than one would think, but the rear ones are tiny.

And the rubber they use really really smells.

I have huskyliners now. In fact, for some complicated reason I have a spare set in black, new in the box, if anyone nearby wants it, same price as autoanything

Does that cargo liner slide around at all? I bought the Toyota liner and it always slides back after driving around. I was thinking of velcro or something to keep it from sliding around. It's not a huge issue I just push it forward after opening he back. Just curious if the aftermarket liners have the same issue.
